In today's world where the freedom of speech is not applied but remains just a constitutional right, the power of one's voice is the most important.

In today's world where the freedom of speech is not applied but remains just a constitutional right, the power of one's voice is the most important. With the current scenario of the nation, it's important to raise our voice against something we find wrong and support and stand for what we think is right. All in all, the word "democracy" has lost it's true meaning. We, as the torchbearers of the country, are responsible for bringing the required change in the otherwise monotonic affairs of the state. We should try being informed rather than just being opinionated.
With the country currently in a state of turmoil because of the protests over the introduction of the Citizenship Amendment Act, there still remains quite a few topics untouched. Sexual education, for example, is a topic which is not given much importance in India, the need of which has increased vastly. On the other hand, it'd be wrong to say that the voices are not rising. Menstruation, considered a taboo earlier is being discussed these days and people are trying to create awareness regarding the same.
The people are realizing the power they hold but what is not yet realized is that how their voices can mould the nature of the current scenario for the betterment of the society. Some people choose to be quiet and take a neutral stand but today's situation demands a strong opinion, but an informed one.
Rightly said,
"When you own your voice, you own your power."
